Guitar Reference Sheets

Printable scale patterns, chord shapes and theory, made for a binder of sheet protectors.

How to read the diagrams: strings run left to right with the high E (1st string) on top. Every note is labeled by its interval from the root (R = root, m3 = minor 3rd, P5 = perfect 5th, and so on), so every shape works in any key: just move the root. Fret numbers along the bottom show where it sits on the neck.

Two versions of each set: Black & white is made for any printer; the root is a solid black dot. Color is for color printers; each note is colored by its job: root, 3rds, 5th and 7ths, so the chord inside each scale stands out.
